Happy Fall

Here's to the beginning of Fall. I know it's not really much of a fall here in Southern California, but when your from somewhere that has the seasons strong, you do begin to appreciate that California does have some changes albeit not as drastic as in other areas, but it can be nice. Today does have a nice cooler thing going on so I guess we'll have to just appreciate it for what it is.

Nice weekend especially at SageBrush yesterday, the boys enjoyed the jam, and a special shoutout to Toni and our english friends from Crown and Anchor who came out to support. We appreciate the 17 mile hike. Luckily they had a designated driver.

McCormicks double weekend coming this week, we hope you'll come out. The desert is beginning to pickup once again and things really get wild out there so for a good time.....

Check the upcoming shows for dates and info. Also don't forget the new video!.....

Cheers Mates!

Great Weekend!

Great weekend.

The boys had 3 great show this weekend. First, Fantasy Springs Casino MainStage Rocked!!! Saturday, McCormicks. The Desert is really heating up now that the summer is beginning to come to an end and the in season starts again. I know, the desert is actually cooling, from the oven like 116 down to the barely doable 100 degrees. But it's a start right?

Sunday was fantastic as the boys whipped up a great crowd on the lawn of the The Grove, Fairfax Ave. Hollywood. It was cookin'.

They'll be back next Saturday from 3-6 at The Grove and then Sagebrush on Sunday. Hope you all can make it.

Also, we apologize if it has been difficult or slow in accessing the new videos. We are working feverishly to get a faster reponse time on those. Stay tuned......

Hope you had a great weekend.

Save The Music At Augusta

About 200 people rallied on Saturday night in support of keeping the music alive at Augusta Restaurant on El Paseo in Palm Desert.

With the sounds of a band in the background, people carried dozens of handmade signs that read "Imagine," "Take it easy," "Democracy?" and "Get over it" as they rallied to try and save the restaurant's city permit for live entertainment.

"We want to keep the music alive," Ryan Shillady, who was gathering petitions, said.

The Palm Desert Planning Commission revoked the restaurant's permit in January but restaurant owner Denise Roberge has appealed the decision to the City Council.

A public hearing is scheduled at 10 a.m. this coming Thursday in the Civic Center Council Chamber.

"We are not going to lose the music at Augusta," said Roberge, who wore a T-shirt that read "Let it be." "So get up here and party."

And attendees did.

Drinks flowed and appetizers were passed.

Several people wore the "Let it be" T-shirts. Others carried still more signs that read "Dance, dance, dance."

The band played "Back in the USSR" and Billy Joel tunes.

Brightly-colored mattresses lined up behind the band to soften the sound of the music, which has been a bone of contention for some nearby residents.

Noise levels at Augusta have been discussed for more than a year.

The Planning Commission issued a final warning in December. Roberge attempted to lower the noise levels, but the Planning Commission still decided the noise was a public nuisance and yanked her permit in January.

"I'm sure the City Council will see it our way when we all sign the petition and show up on Thursday," Roberge said.

Jasenka Sabanovic, of La Quinta, said she hoped the rally gets the message across to the City Council that live entertainment is needed in Palm Desert.

"There's nothing (else) going on here," she said.

Shillady agreed.

"El Paseo is tough," he said. "But this place is jumping. Music keeps this place alive."
